I have worked as a communications consultant for various international organizations. The World Economic Forum recognized me as one of the Young Global Leaders under the age of 40 in 2013 in part because of my advocacy on human and civil rights issues. I have used new media tools to document and advocate for women’s rights in situations of armed conflict working with local women's groups in various African countries. I studied non-violent conflict at Tufts University and hold a Masters Degree in Media, Peace and Conflict studies from the University for Peace. I have lived in Costa Rica, Switzerland and a bit of Ethiopia.
